…You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies…
As I was preparing to board the airplane to Europe, some severe anxiety started to attack me. I can’t say I didn’t see this coming, but it was still unpleasant. BUT GOD gave me the discernment to know that what my body was feeling in that moment was not the reality I had to live out. He has taught me how to take this type of thing to Him and He gave me some praying friends to stand beside me in this moment and it passed. Further to that, shortly after they started serving dinner, the captain got on the comms and told us there was turbulence and to remain seated. At first I thought “I don’t want to have a dinner tray bouncing around in my lap or get seasick with a plate of food in front of me”, BUT GOD reminded me of the above passage …You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies… and encouraged me to take a step of faith. I did and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner on the plane. It was chicken and a bun with real stainless steel flatware!!! And then the turbulence passed about the time dinner ended.
PRAISE: God answered all of the prayers for fortitude and safe travels. I write this post from a Budapest hotel room.
Please Pray: While I did not sleep as much on the plane as I had hoped, I am thankful for the extra time I was able to spend awake with my Lord. Please pray for safe travels for the rest of the team the is coming in tomorrow and for good rest for all of us as we embark on this 40 day mission.
