In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. We were supposed to fly to Rome on Wednesday, but the airline with which we booked could not find our reservation, or something like that. We rebooked with a different airline for Thursday. The first flight was delayed but the airline sent some folks to take us on a private airport tour to go through a special security and customs and get to our next airplane.PRAISE THE LORD, we made it to Rome 🥳🥳🥳
When we first stepped out into Rome, I was reminded of Brussels from last year. Very dirty physically, but Brussels was also the place that felt, to me, the most oppressive spiritually. In Brussels we had much opposition, but greater breakthrough in Christ and we are looking forward to great spiritual fruit here in Rome.
We are partnered with a local church that is very friendly. They fed us a ‘summer pasta’ our first night. It was cold, which was surprising, but after a few bites I got over it. Their church often does their own street evangelism with their own drama and fire juggling 😲
Praise the Lord!
